I am an instructor with NorthWest Arkansas Community College, an academic partner of the RDPC.
As a member of the Institute for Corporate and Public Safety (ICPS) at NorthWest Arkansas community college (NWACC), I deliver mass fatality courses, which I developed through the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC), designed specifically for rural communities and funeral directors.
I have thirty years experience working in the funeral industry and have responded to mass fatality incidents throughout the United States and Haiti since 1998, including events like 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. Having been responsible for human remains recovery operations and aiding the establishment and daily operations of family assistance centers and temporary morgue operations, I have a broad based knowledge and years of experience in mass fatality response operations. I founded my own mass fatality consulting firm in 2006 and aligned myself with an international firm based in the Washington, D.C. metro area to provide consulting in the area of mass fatality planning and response throughout the United States.
For over a decade, I have been called upon to speak on subjects related to mass fatality response operations throughout the nation. I hold an associate’s degree in mortuary science from Delgado Community College in New Orleans, La. Also, I continue to work on a part-time basis for the oldest family owned funeral home in Baton Rouge, where I have been employed since 1982.
